LPC Approves our GV Townhouse
We are excited and proud to announce that the Landmarks Preservation Commission has approved our Greenwich Village Townhouse with no modifications or exceptions on our first attempt!
The Landmarks approval process is laborious. It takes months of planning, work, and community meetings. Many times, even after all that work, the commission will still reject the application outright or ask for modifications to the design. Being asked to represent will typically cost the approval schedule a full month, which can be painful and costly to ownership.
We are proud of our team who worked hard to design something both distinctive and historically appropriate. This project was particularly challenging in this regard as our building is part of a row. We managed to create a design that both established the connection between us and our sisters yet also has a unique character.
Onwards and Upwards!
If you are thinking of building or renovating in a historic district, we are here to help.
