This new home in West Hempstead was built for a family who wanted to break the mold of the classic Long-Island suburban house.  A large inviting hallway splits the house and is capped by a window back sculptural staircase.  The spaces are designed to be contemporary and comfortable.  The family’s sizable book collection is put on display in their open library, and the family kitchen is designed to hold everybody all at once.
